RF Microneedling

What is RF Microneedling?

RF microneedling is a minimally invasive fractional, bi-polar, Radio Frequency system that will disperse micro-needles deep within the dermis to produce dramatic skin tightening and skin rejuvenation and can be used on all areas of the body. The machine combines the latest advancement in Micro-Needling and Radio Frequency technologies. And it offers minimal downtime and pain regardless of skin type.

RF Microneedling provides precise and controlled coagulation and hemostasis deep within the dermis to help stimulate collagen, providing dramatic skin tightening and skin rejuvenation. The microneedling depth can be adjusted for each treatment area. Thereby, allowing for customized treatments to delicate areas, such as under the eyes, the forehead and cheek bones.

treatment timeline:

The procedure itself takes approximately 20 minutes. However, the treatment area will need to be prepared which may take an additional 30 minutes.

One of the greatest things about RF Microneedling is that patients usually experience minimal to no downtime and have few restrictions following a RF Microneedling treatment. The treated area may be red for up to 24 hours.

However, a deeper, more aggressive treatment may be required for your desired outcome. Therefore, downtime may increase. Ask your treatment specialist to give you a more accurate downtime before procedure is done.

Results:

Obvious results are normally seen after just 1 treatment. However, to help achieve the maximum benefit a 3-treatment series is suggested with each treatment 4-week apart.

Things to Do:

  • applying a skin-soothing product, which is said to penetrate more deeply into the skin because of the needles
  • slathering on a broad-spectrum, chemical-free sunscreen with at least SPF 30 during the weeks following your treatment
  • keeping skin hydrated by applying a mild hydrating serum and use a mild cleanser, taking care to avoid exfoliating scrubs in the days immediately following the treatment
